Experiences in Life

As I have been sitting here struggling to think of things to type, a song comes on my computer called "I have been there.." by Mark Schultz. (Amazing song by the way..) and well I would like to first share my feelings on how grateful I am to be able to have the opportunity to write this from Europe. It has been my life long dream to live here in Europe, and to finally be here and write this is amazing. It is amazing in how the Lord can guide and direct us to different places in our lives. I know I have alot of work to do here, not only am I still struggling with the language but I know I have alot of missionary work to do as well. I still have those moments where I see someone I really have no clue about, but have this burning desire to talk to them on the train....but then I'm stuck! because I dont speak german. I need to break out of my shell however and just see if they speak english as well. However the culture here isnt a very talkative one. :-P People just arent as outgoing as in America, not to say anything against Europe, but when it comes to talking to complete strangers, its just not common here. I would be spotted as an American REAL quick. :D
My main point in writing this blog though is to sort of show myself and others that if you set goals, and really work towards them, you CAN attain them. Make sure you have the Lord on your side however. When I first decided to come here, it was a rush but then I made sure to have a blessing before I came and it was for sure this is the place I need to be.
So going back to the song I mentioned, if we are willing to take a risk now and then, surely we will experience trials, but then we now move forward with 2 precious gifts. One, you have learned alot, and two you now can say "I have been there.." and use your knowledge to help comfort others through their trying times. This is a perfect example of Christ, and we are to be like him, right? :D
