Long day, but a good one!

Today was a long day....but it was fun!

So I met this girl in my institute class a few weeks ago who is super sweet! She invited me to go on a hike with her and some friends, so we got together today and went. It was amazing, yet HARD!! I guess I thought I was in more shape than what I really was..either that, or it really was hard. We went up Millcreek Canyon here in salt lake, and stopped at this one particular trail...(of which I am spacing out the name of again..). Anyway, we thought it would only be a small hike, because even the sign said 3 miles to the top.....it felt like 6 miles to the top, I SWEAR!! The first part was good, but since my trainer has had me do alot with my legs, they were sore!! I had to take breaks alot, and felt bad because I thought I was holding the group back. BUT they were super nice and understanding. lol As we were hiking, we started to come out of the forest where it REALLY started to get hot. I have the sunburn on my arms to prove it! It also started to get really steep, and my legs were really starting to feel the burn. Finally, we reached the top, after 2 1/2 hours. The view was incredible. I even posted the pics on here of the view. You could see all the salt lake valley and the bonneville dam. I absolutely LOVE the outdoors!! I need to work on my hiking skills aparently, but I totally think it was worth it!

ACTUAL PICS OF THE VIEW!!

After I got back, my friends had invited me to go to Taylorsville to watch some fireworks. I guess each little town in Salt Lake puts on a 4th of July thing, and this one was AWESOME. They had some dude there, that I could have sworn WAS Neil Dimond, but I guess the guy was a fake but had been offered many roles to play him in movies since he sounds and looks just like him. I SWEAR he really did look like and sound like him. I even called my mom to tell her. She is absolutely obsessed with him, so its pretty funny. Anyway, the fireworks were really neat! They sang the national anthem and then played some other random songs, including the Indiana Jones theme. Haha. Well, after we left, we went to Wendys and I tried their new twisted cookie dough frosty. (pretty good mind you!). All in all, I had an awesome day, but I feel like I am going to fall in love with my pillow and blanket tonight for sure.

THIS IS THE ACTUAL GUY WHO WAS SINGING THERE IMPERSONATING NEIL DIAMOND!!! ...... SWEET....

Things About Me

I have had a few experiences lately, where I have learned more about myself.

I'MA CATWOMAN:

My Kitty Bella :0) *so cute!!*

#1. I LOVE dogs a TON! however.....they are a TON of work, can be really annoying, and I have decided to stick with having a cat. I was watching my neighbors dogs for only 2 DAYS, and I was already going crazy. They are 2 big dogs, one named Bella (same as my cat) who is a boxer mix, and the other Sadie who is a pitbull mix. Both are super sweet and alot of fun, but when you have to constantly put your life on hold to go home and let them out, feed them and have to deal with their crazy spazo moments, its HARD work! Therefore, I officially am staying with a cat as my pet until maybe someday my husband or kid can take care of the dog. LOL

#2. I love to listen to Michael Buble in the mornings! There is something about his voice, and his jazzy upbeats that just make the day start off GREAT! I usually listen to him when I get ready and walk to the bus stop. I just feel like dancing right in the middle of the street! haha!

#3. I officially love mexican food. Let's start with Cafe Rio. The bean and rice burrito with pinto beans, and hot sauce enchilada style will be the death of me. I hope not in real life, but it is SO good...and SO much to eat!! Not only do I like the burrito, I heart their salads!! SUPER good!
Beto's. Ok...so I really am not a fan of them to be honest, the only thing I will eat there however is their steak breakfast burrito, served ALL day. HOLY CRAP...its a LOT of food, (not to mention calories....ouch!) but eating that with the red sauce is AWESOME.

#4. If I could be born again in another life, I would probably be German. I have grown up with german friends, and a passion for German soccer, etc. I have a huge german flag that was once given to me by my german friends as a gift, I have taken a couple german classes, but want to improve my german. They have nice cars, nice roads (i.e. the AUTOBAHN!!), beautiful countryland, buff guys...whoops! how did that get in there?!...
I want to go there again to visit, and maybe live there someday? Who knows? *shrug of my shoulders* Anyway, let me put it this way, whenever the german team is playing, whether the Eurocup, Worldcup, whatever...I usually cheer for them, HARDCORE. Don't get me wrong, I DEFINETLY have my American prowd to be an American deal goin' on, and usually when my german friends and I have intense discussions on which country is better, I can bring America to the TABLE!!!
Ich hab dich lieb Deutschland! :0)

#5. Speaking of nice cars....I officially am a lover of luxury cars. Instead of naming the cars, I will just list pictures of cars I like. Sometimes its kinda funny that I like cars so much as a girl...but who cares?? NOT ME!!

Prepare to be amazed...

Mercedes Mclaren -$450,000 Estimated Payments:$9,391/month

Aston Martin V12 Vanquish - $234,260 I WILL OWN ONE OF THESE IN MY LIFE!!! I AM DEAD SET ON IT!!!

BMW M7- I dunno how much it costs...

Maserati GranTourismo Coupe

Bentley Continental GT

Lamborghini Gallardo - Except I want mine Red..because its hot, and if a cop sees me, well good luck catching up to me!! I guess this is my wild side!! haha
OK, so this is only a small part of me that people don't really know about...more to come...

Traveling is for the cool kids.

I am going to write in red...because it's bold, and I want to be "out there" today. Ok, so there have been a few things pondering in my mind this morning. I wish I had more money. Not to be greedy, or to have it to spend on clothes or shoes, but to spend it on experiences!! I am only young ONCE, and I want to have as many neat experiences as I can. One of the things on my mind today that I want to talk about is travel. I have been privaleged to go to England, Scotland and Germany...which was way cool! So, I have made a small list of the many countries I want to visit. So...here it is:

Italy- It would be amazing to take a gondola ride, eat real italian food, and see the amazing art, architecture and history of famous people.

Sweden- This is a BEAUTIFUL country that I can see from pictures.

China- I want to hike on the great wall!

New Zealand / Australia- WAY cool to go here. enough said.

Greece- again, beautiful from pictures along the mediterranean.

Peru- To see ruins, and go to Machu Pichu.

Brazil- I have lots of friends from here, and I want to go to Rio and San Paulo.

Egypt- Pyramids..enough said. Riding a camel in a real desert!

Any country in central america to take a church history tour.

Oh and I have been to England, but I want to see stonehenge. it would be pretty cool.
Did you hear that they are pretty sure they found out what the purpose was of stonehenge? They found evidence that it was a burial ground for an ancient royal family. COOL.

Ok, switchin it up to blue.. so I definetly want to see these places before I pass on to the next life, and whether or not I see them when I am single or married. I think it would be way cool to travel with my husband to most of those places. I didnt include paris, but would totally go with a loved one. Not alone. oH and preferably with someone who speaks french, because it would suck otherwise. ...snoody french people *hmph*

Summer is Here!

Hey there everyone!

This is my first blog ever on here! Yay! I am no longer a blogspot virgin. (sorry if that is a little crude to some of you..) Well, as I was sitting here (during work), wondering what I should write about, the only thing I could really think about was summer! According to the calander year, today is the first official day of summer! I can't tell you enough how excited I am for this summer. It already seems like summer has been so long, and we still have 2 whole months left at least!

This summer has been, by far my most active yet. One of the first things I did when I recieved my tax return, was get a gym membership and a trainer. So far I have lost 7 pounds, and still going. It's not so much a matter of wanting to loose weight, as that is always good, but I need to really tone up. So far, my trainer has really focused on my arms and legs. The first session I had with her where she worked my arms, I couldn't lift them for 2 days! haha. I definetly feel the benefits of exercise though. It gets you in such a good mood and gives you an overall sense of well-being. I am so excited that summer is here because I like to be outside. One of the things I want to work on this summer is try to improve my green side. What's that you ask? Well, I am kinda dorky, and that was the best way I could describe it..basically instead of driving around so much, even on little trips, I am going to take advantage of our bus system, and my bike and two legs while its beautiful outside. I took the bus today in fact! It really wasn't bad at all. I have heard horror stories, but personally, when you have your Ipod, people usually let you be. I don't mind talking to random people, it's just when they start to hit on you is my line.
Ok, so that's about all I can (and should) write about for now. I am at work...so I dont want to get into trouble. But anyone who is up for hiking, biking, going tubing down the provo river, etc, let me know!
